I want to use a story/canon that I am familiar with.
Alice in Wonderland is one of my first ideas.(along with all the other bits and pieces I briefly thought about)
Not sure what I want to do with it but that will be the base of my fanfic.
I will be reviewing some of the fanfics written by others online.
Alice in Wonderland Fanfics
This is as far as I got so far and I will be coming back to update if I come up with more/better ideas.
There will be a chance I may completely change the canon for this brief.

I think I've got a concrete idea of my fanfic.
The plot/cannon is the white rabbit and the rabbits from Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny.
As above it is a cross over of the three stories. (Shows how obsessed I am with bunnies!)
In the original story of Alice in Wonderland, we never get to find out why The white rabbit is in a hurry. In my fanfic, readers get to find out the reason. He is running in a hurry to rescue his cousins.
The core of the story is Alice in Wonderland. The white rabbit does what he does in the original story but he is the main character in my fanfic and the other bunnies come in to play. As I wanted the fanfic to be The White Rabbit's POV, I strictly stuck to the original storyline. So what it means is, the White Rabbit witnesses things or events that Alice goes through in the original book but from his POV. However he does not interfere with Alice in my story as he is in a hurry.
The White rabbit(he is also Peter Rabbit!) and Benjamin Bunny rescue the other bunnies from the Queen who loves to chop heads off. They do this by using The White Rabbit's specialty to make things smaller or bigger(like the potion that made Alice bigger and smaller with potions), and Benjamin's specialty of growing vegetable (as he grew up in vege farms - of course he prefers eating them better!)

I had the fanfic reviewed by three people(two that loves Alice in Wonderland & one that never read the original book but watched the movie by Tim Burton) and revised accordingly.
Nothing has changed dramatically.
Hi Emma, I love your Alice in Wonderland idea! Have you thought about using similar laguage to the original story by Lewis Carrol? He is one of my favourite writers, and I love the way he makes up words and creatures and you still understand what he means. Just an idea!

DeleteI was thinking of crossing this over with Peter Rabbit and having him as the White rabbit's brother or close relative. or is it too much? I still cannot decide what I want to do with this idea.
I think that is such a cool idea! They are similar writing styles so I think that could work! :)

The fanfic is set in the wonderland, as I wanted to stick to the original story of Alice in Wonderland. The focus of the story is to unfold why the white rabbit was in a hurry!
Hello Emma, I want to have a look again at your fanfic today but seems I cannot find it. Last time I was typing my comment on your fanfic but half way I stopped because I was quite sick that day(serious headache), and as I did not finish I did not post them on your page. Now I am super healthy so I just want to give you my suggestions regarding to your draft, Aice book is one of my favourite book. I think your story definitely can be better(it is actullay very good), but I sort of felt that your thoughts are refined within the original story plot, your thoughts are not open as wide as it can go.

But I think it is quite unnecessary, I think you are a very good writer,so be confident!In Alice book, Alice drop and drop in the dark hole. in your work, the rabbit drop and drop in the dark hole. In Alice book, there is a smiling cat who can disapper in an instant, in your work there is part as the rabbit thinks he saw Mary Ann on the riverbank, but he was wrong. In Alice book, there is Queen get angry because rose is not red, in your work the Queen also get angry about one thing(I cant remember). All these similarities made your work less interesting,my advice is to be more creative:) I know it is hard to write this book because the words and thoughts are so unique and splendid in the original book,but be confident! You dont have to take my advice, it is only little suggestion from my point of view:)
